High-quality, environment friendly production

WESTPOINT has a certified ISO 90001:2000-quality system which guarantees the continuous development of our production’s functional quality. In practice this means the ongoing training of our personnel and the systematic raising of the production’s level of automation.

WESTPOINT has invested in the automation of the rotation print press’s colour- and cutting-alignment. This investment has a clear effect on both the quality of the products and on the amounts of waste generated. By renewing the binding line’s waste recycling system, we are able to effectively collect both the paper and dust generated in the production.

WESTPOINT is the first Nordic newspaper printer to use Agfa's Chemfree printing plate technology. Not only does this guarantee a better quality, it also leaves a substantilly smaller ecological footprint.

We care about our common environment, among else by making transport and recycling more effective. Cost reduction considerations and optimal use of materials have also made us focus on a more ecological production.
